Why you should apply

For Credit Managers, just going through the application process helps you to get the recognition from the Senior Management Team within your company and gives you an opportunity to share with them the great work that is being done by your team that often goes unnoticed at senior level. For your team you can use the awards as a reward for excellent results. You can set your own criteria for submitting the application, with the promise of a day out at the Awards ceremony itself if they are shortlisted. All shortlisted teams are invited to the Awards ceremony and all winning teams receive an engraved award, a team photo, that will appear in the Sunday Business Post and a logo that they can use on their emails and correspondence.

As a member of a credit team, suggesting applying for the award, shows a confidence in your ability and your willingness to compete with the best teams on the island. It is a great team builder and should get everyone on the same page.

As a Director/ CEO of a company, putting your team forward for an award shows them that you are not only aware of their existence, you appreciate all the great work they are doing and would like them to get the recognition of their peers. Secure in the knowledge that no secrets have to be given away, if numbers are included in your application, they can be quoted in percentages to preserve the confidentiality of the numbers, and the applications are only shared with our judging panel, who are long serving Credit Professionals who are no strangers of confidentiality.

The Application Process.

To apply all you have to do is click the button below to register your interest and fill in your details and we will send you an application form, you should submit your completed application form to us before 5pm on Friday the 20th September 2024. You can check here for some guidelines to completing a winning application. 

The applications will be reviewed and the short lists will be announced on Monday the 7th of October 2024.

The short list will be selected and the judging panel will select a winner in each  category and one overall winner of the Credit Team of the Year will be announced on the day.

When completing your application you are encouraged to apply for multiple categories, if applicable, instead of restricting yourself to one.

The Application Form

The Application Form must be completed in full. You are welcome to include additional documentation and performance measurements to support your application. 
Any numbers supplied will be dealt with confidentially by the judging panel and will not be disclosed to anyone. Any numbers to be included in announcements will be agreed with the nominated person before being read out at the event. 

The list of applicants may be posted on the website and the Names of the Top 20 Teams will be listed, in alphabetical order.

Notification

The closing date for receipt of applications is 5.00pm on Friday 20th September 2024.

The shortlisted teams will be notified on the 4th October 2024.

​The overall winners will be announced on the day. .

Background to the ​
Credit Team Awards

Sales and marketing teams regularly receive recognition and attend various social events. While the credit teams who are in the background doing the work day in and day out seldom get any form of recognition at all. This event is designed to put that right and to recognise the great work being done and the great results being achieved by credit teams the length and breath of the country. It is an opportunity for the industry to get together and celebrate their achievements and to make the team members feel truly valued for their contribution. By keeping the cash flowing they keep the business going and most importantly of all to keep customers current and buying.

What constitutes a
Credit Team?

All teams are eligible to apply.. So if there is credit team of 1 or a team of 300 all are welcome.
The areas the Judging Panel will be looking at are the way the team works together to achieve superior results, how they interact with the other Departments within the business and how they deal with customers and their ability to stay ahead in an ever-changing  marketplace and can demonstrate how they add value to the business.

Industry Recognition

The Award Ceremony is being organised by Irish Credit Management Training (ICMT) to recognise the contribution and often thankless hard work performed by every member of the Credit Team on a daily basis. Up to now Credit Teams seldom get the recognition they deserve and this Awards Ceremony sets out to put that right.
